Save the date: Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 7:00-8:00PM

Join award-winning children's author Margi Preus for the virtual launch of The Silver Box, the final book of the Enchantment Lake mystery.

What will happen at this virtual launch? It’s a mystery! Probably at least some of the following: Pictures! Video! Hand puppets! Recipes! Puppies!* Opera! Maybe even a (virtual) treasure hunt with (actual) prizes! A little chitchat about bringing the Enchantment Lake series to an end, a quick advert for Village of Scoundrels and The Littlest Voyageur, and, of course, time for Q&A.
(*that one is a red herring)

2020 Minnesota Library Association Conference: A Series of Fortunate and Unfortunate Events; Writing, Life, and Programming During a Pandemic

Writing, like life, is a series of fortunate and unfortunate events. Newbery Honor author Margi Preus will share a bit about the ups and downs of writing—and having three new books published—during a pandemic. On a more cheery subject, we’ll take a look at how some Minnesota authors are adapting their presentations for this new mostly digital world and discuss how authors and libraries can work together to reach readers, writers, and schools and classrooms in new ways.

Video: StoryMakers with Margi Preus

Explore a lesser known part of WWII history Margi Preus on StoryMakers as they chat about her new book VILLAGE OF SCOUNDRELS, which is based on the true story of a village in France that sheltered Jewish children and teens from concentration camps.

In this episode, Margi asks the question, “When terrible wrongs happen in the world are we contributing to them if we do not speak out against them?”
